Shed Productions, developed in 1998, had a profit of 120,000 pounds sterling before tax on a 5 million pounds sterling turnover ending in August of 1999. The company's success strategy has been to operate numerous single purpose companies, and intends to group the companies together in order to use the profits from one production to invest in another. Its successful production 'Bad Girls' is still running, while it intends to begin work on another production called 'Footballers' Wives.'

Two's company
Article Abstract:
United Kingdom-based Company Television, a three-year-old independent, was created by George Faber and Charlie Pattinson and has been successful in producing various television dramas. The two executives discuss future projects in development for the BBC and ITV, as well as partnerships set up with various writers for the development of other new programming. The article provides a brief history of the two executives as well as some of their successful television productions.

Mersey TV shows its staying power

The Mersey Television Co. has grown into the UK's largest empoloyer for the independent market and it is one of the country's longest running independent production firms. The company is working on diversifying itself into such areas as education, broadband and enhanced television.
