Fulfilling summer promises

The president of the Florida Chapter of AFS looks forward to spending time with students and interns during summer sojourns. He believes that by taking on a new graduate student, assistant or intern would help them grow as intellectuals and it assures him that his own efforts are put to the best possible use.

Michael oMikeo Hall
Article Abstract:
The sad demise of Michael Hall, the founder of Hallprint fish tags, on the 12 April 2003 at the age of 95 years after several months of illness is mentioned. Hall was a member of the American fisheries society and was a regular fixture at the annual AFS meetings.

Article Abstract:
Jack Monty Millard, an employ of the U.S. fish and wildlife service in Costa Rica, died on 28th April 2003 at the age of 59. He was instrumental in charting the course of the service's fisheries program in northern Alaska.
