Two Way TV has launched its new interactive TV system and Videotron, a cable operator is to launch a live interactive show. Other interactive pioneers are testing video-on-deman (VOD) entertainment. Two Way TV delivers its signal in a similar way to Teletext, and Videotron offers Videoway free to its cable subscribers.

Child benefits: children's television in the UK is subject to cut-throat competition. TCC has indicated its intention of being a major player by bringing Fox Broadcasting as an equal partner

The children's television market in the UK is highly competitive and now TCC owned by Flextech is thought to be finalising a deal with Fox Children's Network (FCN) of the US, which will involved Fox taking a 50% stake in TCC. This will give Fox an outlet for children's programming in the UK and Europe.
