Growing Kids
Article Abstract:
The takeover of Harvest Entertainment by United Broadcasting & Entertainment has led to speculation that Itel, part owned by United, will take on children's television program sales. Harvest was traditionally strong in the children's animation sector, and Itel would continue in the same vein. The innovative Teletubbies from BBC Worldwide is set to do well on an international level, moving children's television away from animation format. The increase in interest for children's classic drama series has led to the BBC's joint venture with Hit Entertainment to produce Phoenix and the Carpet.
