How long can a format really last?
Article Abstract:
The US reality format that claimed it could go on forever was pulled from the schedule after just a month to make way for back-to-back episodes of 'Totally Outrageous Behavior' and 'World's Craziest Videos'. Although format owners want longevity to ensure their shows run for several series, the existing signs indicate that UK-formatted gameshows and reality shows are still going through a rough time, both in the domestic market and in terms of exports to the US and Europe.
