Making the best of reality
Article Abstract:
Reality television shows generate large amounts of video content and they require a fast turnaround, requiring an entire post-production unit to reside on-site for the duration of the show. Nowadays, networks favor shows that go on-air weekly and feature-pre-recorded inserts. Other trends in reality TV production are discussed.

The Scotland's contribution towards the television programs in all of the United Kingdom is only 5%. Given the potential it should be more. The current activities in the Scottish production houses and television networks are discussed.
