The fate of terrestrial broadcasters in the wake of digital take-up raid and impending analogue switch-off is analyzed. It remains to be seen whether these broadcasters will be able to retain their market share in the new technology era. The Freeview phenomenon, and the steady trends of diminishing market shares of the television broadcasting industry are discussed.
