The controversy-laiden television broadcasting industry in the UK is blaming inadequately trained young staff, and it is apparent that the industry needs more professional media training. Companies should, instead, hiring BA graduates from media courses, but most indies and broadcasters are hesitant in doing so. A BA (Hons) program at Teesside University in tv production is also discussed.

TV scandals see morale in industry plummet
Article Abstract:
Morale in the TV broadcasting industry has gone down in 2007 as a result of a series of industry scandals, according to a Broadcast reader survey. Nearly two-thirds of respondents believe morale in the industry is lower in 2007 than in 2006, while 68% of workers in the industry say that morale has dropped over the previous five years.
