In my view: getting the balance right
Article Abstract:
Meetings of the Ofcom content board are known for a robust debate with occasional merriment and it is suggested that humour at board meetings stimulates people to express their opinions, which is vital for establishing the range of views on content matters within a collegial framework of decision-taking. The first anniversary of the first content board meeting is reviewed where the relationship between the content board and the main Ofcom board has developed organically.
