In the bleeding fields: journalists lose their lives covering war and coflict
Article Abstract:
Issues concerning the mortal dangers journalists face in covering war and violent crime are examined. Topics include journalists killed in Vietnam; the murder of Irish journalist Veronica Guerin, who covered organized crime; Arizona investigative reporter Don Bolles who was murdered by a car bomb in 1976; and journalist Kurt Schork and cameraman Migeul Gil Moreno de Mora, who were killed in Sierra Leone's civil war in May 2000.
