Laugh masters
Article Abstract:
Dave Gorman has been doing stand-up comedy for six years and is currently writing for the 'The Mrs Merton Show'. Gorman advises going to Edinburgh and the Bafta awards to meet commissioning editors who may be interested in your work and getting a good agent to promote your ideas. Richard Herring suggests that writing for radio is a good starting point as it is harder to break directly into television. Herring also performed in Edinburgh and was noticed by the network controller of ITV. He believes that important contacts are made by working with other people.
