Master of fact
Article Abstract:
UK Carlton Television's controller of factual programming Steve Clark has been accused of commissioning programmes that are populist and appeal to the lowest element. Live debates on the monarchy, documentaries about terrible neighbours and guides to good sex are just a few of the programmes that he has been critised for. The advent of digital terrestrial television will see the yearly production of up to 2,000 hours worth of programmes. Clark would ultimately like to run his own channel.
