Lobbying hard
Article Abstract:
UK commercial broadcasting firms are unhappy about the increasing amount of commercial activities being undertaken by the public funded British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC). Commercial broadcasters want the BBC to be more accountable in the way it uses money from license fees to fund commercial projects, such as pay-television. The BBC claims it is totally accountable to licence fee payers, who are represented by the board of governors.
