The tremendous growth in light entertainment commissions in 2007 has boosted the studio sector, and shows such as "Strictly Come Dancing" and "The X Factor" have received wide success. Companies are investing heavily in high definition production, but the benefits of switching from analog have not yet been seen. Trends in UK's studio productions are discussed.

There are great opportunities for growth in the Welsh TV industry, such as in kids TV. Don't cramp our style
Article Abstract:
The people have taken an increasing interest in making money out of TV, however, one needs to take steps to guard against losing all that is creative and inspiring about working in the industry. The TV industry would lose its sense of fun if it opens its arms completely to investment from the international capital market.
