Article Abstract:
Careful selection of TV programs for export by the British TV has led the Americans into believing that British are intellectuals and artful. However, a recent splurge of new generation programs like Hit Me Baby One More Time, Strictly Come Dancing and The Sack Race are more in tune with American tastes, albeit of 1960s. While the British find such programs below them, Americans can't seem to have enough of them.
