Lux set to defect to C4

Danielle Lux, BBC controller of entertainment commissioning, has been asked to join Channel 4 as director of programs and is expected to take the position. The BBC is threatened with its third entertainment executive resignation since October, prompting Mark Thompson, director of television, to call an emergency meeting to try to persuade Lux to stay.

Sugar leaves bitter taste

Sir Alan Sugar's comments on female apprentices are discussed. The gist of Sugar's opinion is that women flirt their way to the top. However, if that were so, women would be earning as much as men for the same job.
