Market valorization in broadcasting policy in Ghana: Abandoning the quest for media democratization
Article Abstract:
The development of broadcasting policy in Ghana is put into historical perspective and how commodification is resisted until the implementation of Structural Adjustment Programs in the last two decades since 2005 is revealed. It is suggested that the state's abandonment of responsibility in relation to the business of broadcasting would come at a heavy price of a non-democratized electronic media.

Theses on media deregulation
Article Abstract:
US mass media has been increasingly less subject to federal regulation since the passage of the Telecommunications Act of 1996, and Britain appears to be moving in a similar direction.
