Pearson TV to adapt Dahl for animation
Article Abstract:
Pearson Television has selected The BFG, which is Roald Dahl's children's classic, as the first venture of the company into animation. John Bullivant, who heads Pearson's animation, will start negotiating with possible co-production partners in efforts to develop a 26 x 30-minute series that will be patterned on the book at Mipcom early in October 1998. Bullivant forecast the planned series will be aired during the fourth quarter of 2000.

Action man
Article Abstract:
Gameshow production company Action Time is currently working on 29 UK productions for a wide range of broadcasters, according to managing director Stephen Leahy. It was put in a precarious position by the collapse of BSB, on which it relied heavily for work, and since then has made considerable efforts to widen its customer base. It is now focusing on produced shows, and has doubled output over the last year to around 400 hours.
