Article Abstract:
The United Kingdom government is set to deliver a bill that will address the issue of cross-media ownership. There is a strong demand to move current legal regulation away from specified communications and broadcasting laws, and into existing laws within competition. The media is very aggressive at this point, and the key issues the government wants to address are competition and the loosening of standard media sector rules.
