RDF chief calls for fewer indies

David Frank, RDF's chief executive is of the opinion that UK would be better off with fewer independent producers. This opinion was expressed in his keynote speech at Broadcast conference. Frank feels consolidation would be positive for indies.

Three months ago RDF Media recruited Stuart Murphy, who was formerly an employee of BBC. Murphy is now planning to leave RDF, indicating that working with independent television producers may not always be as attractive as anticipated.
