BBC Resources Ltd. said it does not expect to record profits for the first 18 months of trading at the minimum. A spokesman for the BBC Resources subsidiary, which has just been incorporated, said the deficit would persist until midterm of the second-year operation. He said that studios and outside broadcast units will contribute to the hemorrhage of profits while corporate and independent production and multimedia are expected to produce new revenue. One factor, however, which would probably hamper generation of new revenue is the presence of independents in the highly-competitive multimedia and corporate production.
