Science meets storytelling for a new artform
Article Abstract:
It is becoming increasingly important for British Broadcasting Corporation Ltd. (BBC) to adapt to significant developments in television and radio broadcasting in the UK. BBC1 and BBC2 and Radios 1-5 will remain the key features of the BBC's broadcasting output in the foreseeable future, but it must also ensure that it is in a position to meet new creative challenges. It is impossible to predict with any accuracy what will happen with Internet broadcasting, for example, but it is clear that the world of radio and television broadcasting is on the verge of dramatic change.

Article Abstract:
There have been extensive changes recently among the top levels of BBC management, and this has created an atmosphere of secrecy and uncertainty. Alan Yentob has been confirmed as director of programmes in the new Production directorate and Michael Jackson as director of television and controller of BBC1 in the new Broadcast directorate. However, more reshuffling is expected to take place shortly.
