Sky's free market move
Article Abstract:
Sky TV's subscription-free package of 116 TV channels and 81 radio stations at a one-off payment of [pounds sterling]150, is seen as a reaction to the runaway success of Freeview, and a move to attract the consumers who are unwilling to pay money for extra channels. The new chief executive, James Murdoch, is hoping that this strategy will eventually woo the viewers of free-to-air satellite to buy Sky's pay uTV.
