A profile of Esther Rantzen from BBC is presented. Rantzen has recently received a lifetime achievement award from Women in Film and Television. Rantzen became the first female reporter who tackled difficult news issues on BBC1. She has worked with BBC for 39 years. However, in today's world, Rantzen feels that women are not taking up challenges presented to them.

Hearne joins BBC London

The BBC London News has named Cath Hearne as its new editor. Hearne was the woman who oversaw the launch of the BBC's English regional politics show, "Inside Out."
