TVI buys four new Softimage DS systems for new editing complex

TVI, a broadcasting facility, has contracted to buy four Softimage DS nonlinear systems for its newly established editing facility, which is housed at its headquarters in Wardour Street in the UK. The order forms part of the company's efforts to re-equip its editing complex and enable it to have more editing capabilities in filling the increasing demand for effects. TVI's managing director, Keith Williams, said two of the four machines, will be delivered immediately while the two others are scheduled to be delivered over the next two months.

Molinare's Andrews quits for Farm work
Article Abstract:
Molinare senior editor Steven Andrews has resigned from the company to work for The Farm, which is headed by ex-Molinare directors Vicki Dunn and Nicky Sargent. The Farm has picked young people who are already at the top of their careers from over 3,500 job applications it received. The facility, which is to be inaugurated in late October 1998, will focus on getting broadcast, promos and commercial jobs. Meanwhile, there are speculations that Molinare senior telecine colourist Aidan Farrell is set to quit following Andrews' departure.
