TV's long hard week
Article Abstract:
The challenges faced by BBC1 and ITV1 in the last year have spread over to other terrestrial broadcasting channels as well. The increase in competition from multi channel broadcasters is the prime cause for this decline in television audience ratings of terrestrial television broadcasting companies. The primetime ratings of BBC1, BBC2, ITV1, C4, and Five are presented from Monday to Saturday and a comparative analysis of the ratings in 2005 with that in 2004 is also presented.
