Turning the corner
Article Abstract:
Jane Tranter, the head of drama commissioning at the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), is trying hard to establish dramas that will compete with the dramatic works of Independent Television (ITV). Tranter is working hard to create fresh programming, and says one way will be to configure BBC's genre of period drama in order to provide a more modern appeal.
