Article Abstract:

The implications of the exemptions available to medical staff and TV personnel in UK from provisions relating to average working week of 48 hours that is being stipulated by EU are discussed. Employers tend to overuse this exemption notwithstanding the fact that unlike doctors, the TV personnel do not save lives and that it is sheer love and dedication to their work that makes these people give beyond the necessary limits.
