The AFS leadership institute: Are we leading ourselves down the garden path?
Article Abstract:
Three leadership workshops were presented at the Annual meeting in Baltimore and a symposium was held for members to provide feedback on the need for and content of a leadership training program. The primary objective of the proposed program is to provide a member service and the Fisheries Administrators Section has endorsed this program in concept, so the individuals charged with providing funding for such training have already been bought into the program.

To touch the future
Article Abstract:
The Hutton Program is designed to provide a summer mentoring program for high school students, with particular emphasis on giving students from groups underrepresented in exposure to what a career in aquatic resources might be like. The Hutton Program provides each of us with a unique opportunity to reach out and touch the future.

Activity within AFS student subunits: a survey
Article Abstract:
The AFS students' subunits are involved in various professional and educative activities that provide and attune them to accomplish career goals, put forward chances of work experience and further information of job opportunities. Subunits offer travel related help and professional meetings at various levels.
