Not so dumb
Article Abstract:
It is important that current affairs journalism does not stoop to paying people for their story, according to 'Panorama' editor Peter Horrocks. He believes that the programme is justified in moving into more popular material, despite criticism that it is drifting towards the 'docusoap' genre. He admits that budgets have been tightened, but does not feel that he is working under severe financial restrictions. He is strongly committed to programme-making, and is very ambitious for 'Panorama.'
