The directors' cut
Article Abstract:
Television programme directors in the UK are seeking to raise public awareness of the fact that they often do not receive a very good deal from broadcasters. They are employed on contracts designed to limit their rights, and on average spend around half the year unpaid, regardless of how hard they are working. Directors now have a right to equitable pay for the rental of work on video or other format, but producers and broadcasters continue to refuse to discuss the level of payment.

Rhodes Works

The post-production work for Zenith Production's historical television series Rhodes was highly successful due to management skills, organisation and teamwork. The mammoth eight-hour production, featuring the life of Cecil Rhodes during the late 1800's, was filmed in South Africa and edited at Pinewood Studios in London. Mike Nunn was post-production supervisor. Nunn used Rank Film Labs for film processing and Vid Film for Telecine Mastering.
