Channel 5 has picked up the popular soap opera "Home and Away" in hopes of attracting more viewers. On ITV, the program's average audience was 4.4 million. Multichannel TV homes shun BBC 1

The BBC is maintaining a constant overall viewing share in multichannel homes, but BBC 1 is losing some of its audience share. Accompanying tables break down the top ten BBC programs in multichannel and terrestrial-only homes, as well as percentage share statistics of the BBC in multichannel homes.
