There's nothing powder puff about life as a make-up artist
Article Abstract:
Make-up artists can earn 194 pounds sterling for a 12 hour day, working on the set of a television or film but commercials are more lucrative at around 147 pounds sterling for eight hours work. The make-up artist must be amenable and friendly and be willing to work long hours. They will have to confer with the director, costume department and director of photography. The make-up artist must ensure the actors look the same between takes. They may also have to style hair. Men usually come into the business mainly to work on making prosthetics.
