Sky takes a tumble in week of results

The price of stocks of BSkyB fell 6.4%, with its earnings in the third quarter of 2007 15 million pounds sterling short of the expected profits after the adoption of subsidiary Sky+. DCD Media meanwhile rose 5.4% after the announcement of its positive annual earnings . A table showing the stock prices of other media industry companies is presented.

A Deutsche Bank report revealed that the United Kingdom media industry is vulnerable to the slowing economic conditions locally and in the United States. Stocks of seven listed companies we re up year on year on September, but has been reduced to five companies. A table of th e stocks of media companies as of October 9, 2007, is given.
