Wall to Wall Television's profits have risen for the past five years, and revenue rose 9% last year. Chief executive Alex Graham's strategy is to produce long shelf-life programming with international appeal and to have the chance for cross-media exploitation. Graham invests money to retain license rights, and crosses media to profit from the retail market in addition to production contracts.

Wonderful television shows depend as much on production, casting and marketing as on a central idea. The trick for making a show is to have a good idea and execute it so brilliantly that imitations pale by comparison.
