What is the point of TV?
Article Abstract:
Jeremy Paxman's MacTaggart lecture at the 2007 Edinburgh Television Festival was too long, but it was passionate, thought-provoking and accurate. The controversies hounding the industry such as the crisis of confidence were addressed, not only by Paxman's speech, but by the whole event itself. Views and opinions of four delegates of the festival, one of which is an unnamed TV controller, are presented.
