The Channel 4 logo may become a permanent feature onscreen as part of moves to create a new image. The broadcaster is making changes to its day-time and night-time schedules, and is planning a new series of idents. It will commission up to 30 day-time productions in the fourth quarter of 1996, and plans for night-time programming will probably include increased coverage of sporting events.
