Wright buys into Portman

Chris Wright, chairman of Chrysalis, has bought a 60% personal stake in Portman Film and TV, which is the distributor of shows like ITVEs drama Doc Martin. He will assume the chairmanship of Portman, replacing the present chairman Richard King, who will continue as a director. The new chief executive, Jeremy Fox, has announced that he will be focusing on strengthening the television segment of Portman by adding high-end dramas.
