'Awfully slow warfare'
Article Abstract:
The main tenet of network centric warfare is that a force connected by modern information technologies will outperform a force that is not and it has been put into practice throughout the United States military. Frustrated by the slow pace of antisubmarine warfare (ASW) in the network-centric age, the Navy is using advances in acoustic processing and communications to help speed detection, targeting and engagement in ASW.
