Belgium: The new organizational structure

Maj. Gen. Gerard van Caelengerge, Commander, Operational Air Command, Belgium, describes the integrated structure of the Belgian Armed Forces that was implemented in January 2002. The operational pillar of the Belgian defence consists of a joint Operations and Training Staff Department that is in charge of operations, with Air Land, Naval and Medical forces under its charge.
