Another QDR, another cut: Why an F-22 stretch out?: The UAV factor..
Article Abstract:
The Pentagon's 2005 Quadrennial Defense Review (QDR), which is set for public disclosure in February 2006, includes a cut in F-22A Raptors and defense personnel in order to afford the Air Force's overall procurement program. The QDR would allow funding for about 179 F-22As and its reduced costs due to the design would allow the US Air Force to get an additional four airplanes due to the savings.
