Conventional submarines' propulsion systems for endurance and dash speed
Article Abstract:
Recent and new developments for application on-board conventional submarines with respect to their potential to bridge the gap towards nuclear submarines without abandoning the existing advantages are studied. The Air-Independent Propulsion (AIP) designs and Li-Ion technology vastly increase the performance of conventional submarines at a lower cost than the nuclear ones and hence navies are stressing on not being detected rather than dash speed necessary only to escape after detection.

From MPAs to MMAs: Evolving requirements and technologies for maritime patrol/multimission maritime aircraft
Article Abstract:
Maritime Patrol Aircraft (MPA) is one of the world's most exclusive defence markets, and different models of aircraft sharing the same basic characteristics and mission equipment are reduced to a handful. Boeing 737, winner of the US Navy Multimission Maritime Aircraft (MMA) programme would trigger important changes over well established trends and the future availability of unmanned platform for maritime surveillance would certainly alter the composition of the MPA inventories.

Naval assets for long-term deployment
Article Abstract:
Naval ships deployed in hostile areas not only require fuel and other consumables but also logistic and technical support to sustain the ship and operations. The long deployment of naval forces in distant waters poses a problem to naval combatants and these requirements are carried out by maritime prepositioning ships which are in the nearby waters.
