US looking at reduced ricochet rounds for use in urban combat
Article Abstract:
The Nordic ammunition company, Nammo is in the process of discussions with the US armed forces about the possible use of its reduced ricochet range (R3) target practice ammunition during military operations in urban terrain (MOUT). The TP-R3 product is developed to allow fighter pilots to practice strafing of ground targets with a 90% reduced risk of rounds ricocheting off the ground into aircraft's flight path.

Thales Netherland tests SMART-L modified for theatre ballistic missile defense role
Article Abstract:
The initial tests are completed with an Extended Long Range (ELR) modification for Thales Nederland's SMART-L D-band naval 3-D volume search radar. An early warning capability will be provided for theatre ballistic missile defense (TBMD) by the change in the ELR engineering.
