DASA to apply EW suite
Article Abstract:
DASA Corp will supply a total of 427 electronic warfare (EW) systems to the armed forces of France and Germany for use aboard Tiger helicopters. The EW suites were developed via a cooperative agreement between DASA's LFK unit and the Detexis unit of Thompson-CSF. DASA's EW system is composed of a radar warning receiver, a laser sensor capable of detecting threats from laser-based weaponry, a missile-launch detector and an evaluation system that analyzes sensor data and provides acoustical and optical threat warnings to the crew.
