Document forgery operations expand in Thailand
Article Abstract:
Bangkok, Thailand, has become the center place for the forgery of travel and identity related documents, as many gangs are using the latest computer equipments and software to produce fake documents that can be used to cross borders, establish new identities, and open bank accounts for money-laundering purposes. International and Thai law-enforcement agencies have established the Immigration Expert Control Team to assist in interdicting fake travel documents.

Satun escapes the grip of Thai violence that is blighting south
Article Abstract:
The Satun province of Thailand has remained free from violence despite insurgency rages in the country's southern Muslim-majority provinces of Yala, Pattani and Narathiwat. The current interests of the province's power-brokers as well as its local history have helped in suppressing insurgent activities, but its increase in the south has prompted the Thai officials to take an interest in arms-trafficking activity from the province.
