The last chance for air defence
Article Abstract:
New air defence weapons systems are designed not just to counter attacking aircraft but also the threat of supersonic anti-ship missiles. To counter the threat, new large and highly mobile caliber guns, such as 30mm 2A72 cannon and Gatling guns with high-rate barrels, are being being developed and equipped with optronic tracking systems, fire control system, sensors and radars. The guns can fire a variety of ammunitions that are effective against flying targets.
