Forces recognize the importance of expanding protection measures
Article Abstract:
Operational experiences with improvised explosive devices (IEDs), suicide drivers and occasional rocket and mortar attacks have highlighted a need to address the vulnerability of land-based troops. The different force-protection measures ranging from application of body armors to the accelerated fielding of new defensive weapon systems are developed to protect and help the U.S. armed forces.
