USAF readies universal interface for strike weapons

Wright Patterson AFB (Dayton, OH) a consortia of US strike weapons manufacturers will meet to finalize specifications for a "plug-and-play" interface for the weapons and the US Air Force aircraft, so that it does not require major changes to each aircraft's operational-flight-program software.

LAIRCM to protect US combatant commanders

The US Air Force (USAF) uses C-40 to provide transportation for US Commanders, now it is intending a contract for Boeing to install, certify and test the Large Aircraft Infrared Countermeasures (LAIRCM) system on three C-40 aircraft.
