Fourth generation warfare and the international jihad
Article Abstract:
A new generation of the global Salafist Jihad is heavily influenced by the writings of Syrian Ideologue Mustafa Setmariam Nasar, also known as Abu Musab al-Suri. Nasar's book The call for a global Islamic resistance calls for a de-centralized armed struggle by often autonomous groupings, and echoes the Western military's predications concerning the evolution of so-called 'fourth generation warfare'.
