German Army Puma IFV contract heralds final development and testing of MUSS
Article Abstract:
EADS Defense Electronics is selected for a EUR 21 million contract with Krauss-Maffei Wegmann (KMW) for the final development integration, testing and qualification of a multifunctional self-protection system (MUSS) for German Army's new Puma infantry fighting vehicle (IVF). The contract includes the production of a limited number of pre-series MUSS units to be installed on the initial five Puma test and qualification vehicles ordered in December 2004 from a consortium of KMW and Rheinmetal Landsysteme.
